Jason Taylor McGee died at home in Bethany, OK on Oct. 19, 2013. He was born in OKC on Dec. 21, 1972. He is survived by his loving wife, Christie Dee McGee of the home; his daughter, Haley McGee of Norman, OK; his son, Brian McGee of Harrah, OK; and step-son, Tyler Wert of Lake Dallas, TX; his aunt and uncle, Lee and Vivian Basler, and uncle Harold Trew, of Claremore, OK; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Gayle Trew McGee, his father, Marlin J. McGee, and Brother, Mike McGee. Jason retired from the U.S. Army National Guard as a Master Sgt. in 2009 after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the Afghanistan and Iraq conflict and worked as a paramedic for Mercy and EMSA in OKC. Jason had many friends and will be remembered for his beautiful smile and love of telling stories. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be at 11:00am, Thursday, October 24 at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany with interment following in Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. Godspeed, Jason.
