Obituary

Janice Anne Morgan, neé Brown, was born on the 11th of January, 1954, in Washington D.C. She passed on the 7th of September, 2024.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Ross Curran Brown and Anna Mae Brown, neé Woods; and her husband, Douglas Herwig Morgan. She is survived by her sister, Roby Marie Adams, neé Brown; her son, Jason Douglas Herwig Morgan; her granddaughter, Autumn Rain Lee Morgan; her nieces Casey Beesley, neé Adams, and Rita Presgraves, neé Gill; and nephew, Jeff Gill and their children.

Janice moved many times in her life due to her father's career in the Air Force. She lived in seven states, including Alaska during the Great Alaskan earthquake. In all, she had lived in thirty-two homes before she was thirty-three. At the time of her passing she had lived in her last one over thirty-seven years.

Janice attended Texas A&M University. She did not graduate because she had her son in June of 1974. A big part of her life involved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which she joined in 1978. In the same year, she met her husband of forty-five years and they were married on the 17th of November, 1979, in Mesa, Arizona. In 2008, Janice retired from Hertz Rent-a-Car after thirty-eight years, and pursued her hobby of genealogy plotting family trees for her family and friends. In 2022, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. A year and a half later she was declared cancer free.

Janice had many loves in her life - her husband, her son and her granddaughter, genealogy, knitting and spending time with her cat, Hesta.
