Janet passed Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012. She is at final peace after a long duration illness. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Charles E. and Aline Rogers. Janet graduated from Putnam City H.S. in 1970 and worked 30 years for Hertz in bank reconciliation. She will be missed by her many good friends and co-workers. Janet is survived by the love of her life, husband, LeRoy DeShields Jr., whom she married in 1998, beginning her happiest days. Her favorite things were family and going 4-wheeling in Little Sahara, snow and water skiing and cooking. Also surviving are her brother, David Rogers of Texas; daughter, Lori Reagan; grandsons, Christopher and Tyler; stepmother, JoAnn Rogers; and stepdaughter, Danis Deshields; granddaughter, Charlye DeShields; and stepsister, Susie Shiplet. Preceding her in death were her parents; stepson, Scott DeShields; sister-in-law, Sandy DeShields; niece, Juli Rogers; and stepbrother, Scott Liveley. Services will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 Asbury, Bethany, on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. Graveside service Monday, Jan. 16, at Rose Hill Burial Park, 10 a.m. Keepsake Memorial wishes may be brought to the service for insertion in a keepsake drawer.
