Janelle Sue Hodges, 74, passed away August 16, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital. She was born August 29, 1935 in Baxter Springs, Kansas, the daughter of Henry Stussey and Mary Irene (Austin) Stussey Clark. She married Retired Supreme Court Justice Ralph B. Hodges on August 29, 1975. Janelle retired from S.W. Bell Telephone Co. in 1991 after 31 years of service. She was a member of the Putnam City Baptist Church. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids. Also was very active in the Democratic Party. She was an avid bridge player, belonging to 2 bridge clubs and also the Soon Airs. She loved the OU Sooners and enjoyed attending the games with their awesome family and friends. She actively donated to the OU School of Law and to OU Sooner Sports. Janelle was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Randy Hodges. Survivors include her husband, Ralph, of OKC; daughters, Tina Geis and husband Joe of Joshua, TX, Dina Kamm, El Reno, OK, Micki Chronister and husband Bud, El Reno, OK, Jeanne Koos and husband David, Union City, OK and Shari Spencer and husband Greg of OKC; a son Mark Hodges and wife Barbara, OKC; grandchildren, John Geis, Joseph Geis, Marci Feddersen, Makyla Tipken, Delana Kamm, Kelli Barham, Nathan Spencer, Kristen Rosenau, Sarah Koos, Zachary Kamm, Elizabeth Spencer and Caleb Koos; 12 great-grandchildren; very special aunt, Norma Jean Bradley, Grove, OK. Special thanks to Dr. David Boggs, Dr. Jason Breed, Dr. Dustin Baker and Dr. Terrence Truong, awesome nurses and staff at Deaconess Hospital, and Kristina and Jordan Jensen of El Reno for lovingly taking care of the girls Casey and Halee. Memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, The Donna Nigh Foundation, Blue HAWK Animal Sanctuary, Norman, OK, Volunteers for Animal Welfare SPOT Clinic, Moore, OK or charity of your choice. Visitation will be from 9-9 Wednesday at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Putnam City Baptist Church with burial to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
