Jamie Louise Thedford, 94, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City. She was born January 31, 1927 to G.F and Pluma (Packham) Stumpff.
After graduating from Bethany High School in 1944, she attended Bethany Peniel College (now SNU). She went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service as a supervisor. After retiring, Jamie volunteered at Deaconess Hospital for 26 years.
Jamie was a devoted Christian who loved her church and volunteering with the senior citizens luncheons. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing the piano, baking, being with family, and traveling the world with her husband, Gene.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Thedford; sisters, Patricia Melrose, Madalyn Fauss, and Janie Fyffe; brother, Eugene Stumpff and her parents, Mr. And Mrs. G.F. Stumpff.
Jamie is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Hughes and husband David, and Suzan Rector; granddaughter, Heather and husband Alex Dean; and great-grandson Ezra. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Hoskison, Carol & Duane Cory, and Libby Dugger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be Monday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene Chapel on Tuesday, August 10, with burial following in Bethany Cemetery.
