James Edward Yeakley, age 87, of Bethany, OK, passed away June 27, 2012. He was born July 1, 1925 to John Franklin Yeakley and Maudie Ann (Dobbs) Yeakley in Tuttle, OK. After serving in the Army in the Philippine Islands during WWII, he worked 42 years in the welding supply sales business. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy and George, sisters Bertha, Elizabeth, Ruby and Ann, his wife of 58 years, Maureen, daughter Lyndia Kay, son-in-law Darrell, and granddaughter Maegan. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Jean Hodgson Yeakley, brother Tommy, daughters Chris Sconce and husband Junior, Marca Ervin, and son Rusty Yeakley and wife Marilyn. The family would like to thank the staff at Oklahoma Heart Hospital for their kindness, care and support. Family visitation will be Sunday, 4-6pm at Mercer-Adams. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 2, at First Baptist Church, Bethany, OK at 2:00pm.
