James L. Whaylen, "Big Jim" was born on December 1, 1938 in Centrailia, IL to George and Frances Whaylen. Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years Karen, his daughters Kim & Pam, son-in-law Roger and grandsons Carter, Cameron & Caleb. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Ellen Skidmore and Teresa Taylor, and 24 neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George & Frances and brother Don Whaylen. He grew up in Garber, OK, attended Oklahoma State University and spent 45 years in the Aviation Sales & Service business. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, golf and being a grandpa. Jim was a active member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Jim was the fix-it man for all the women in his life.. You could always fmd the trademark "toothpick" in Big Jim's mouth.
