James "Jim" Pete Schones, 83, died March 23, 2015 in OKC. He was born February 11, 1932 in Foss, OK to Pete and Opal (Williams) Schones. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. A graduate of OCU, he was retired from AT&T as an electrical engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Donnie Schones. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Verna; son, Allen Schones and wife Melissa "Missy" of Norman, OK; sisters, Alice Glidewell, Keller, TX, Carrie Avery, Hemet, CA, Pauline Brown, North Richland Hills, TX; sister-in-law, Imogene Schones, Lone Oak, TX; 2 grandchildren, Amy Schones, David Schones and wife Courtney; 1 great-granddaughter, Hannah; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A special thanks to Ralph and Helen Mason for their care and friendship through the years. Memorial service will be Friday, March 27, 2:00pm at Concordia Life Care Community, "The Gathering Room."
