James Robert Roetker Sr., 77, of Oklahoma City, husband, father, brother, and granddad went to be with the Lord February 19, 2011. He was born August 29, 1933. He was a loving husband of 56 years, father of 4 children, and grandfather to 9 grandchildren. He was a US Navy veteran, an independent distributor for Meadow Gold Dairies, and he purchased his first restaurant in 1971, The Rustic Inn, which he ran and operated until 1996. Jim and his wife Pat raised their four children in Oklahoma City. Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann; daughter, Karen (Roetker) Freer, OKC; sons, Jim Robert Roetker Jr. and wife Vicki, OKC, Mike Roetker and wife Cathy, Memphis, TN, Mark Roetker and wife Ronda, OKC; grandchildren, David Acree, Summer Acree, Dennis Freer, Chris Roetker & wife Amber, Tyler Roetker, twins Kaylie & Keelie Roetker, Chad Roetker, and Cody Roetker. Jim is also survived by sisters, Louise Greer and husband Sam, Mary Theresa Hammond and husband Wayne; brothers, Tommy Lee Roetker and wife LaDonna, Andrew Roetker; sister in-law, Jean Roetker; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Charles and Effie Roetker, and brother, Paul Roetker Jr. Jim touched the lives of all around him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N Asbury, Bethany, OK. Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1 PM at Epiphany of the Lord, 7336 W. Britton Road, with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
