James Don Neighbors, 58, passed away at his home in OKC on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011. Jim was born on Dec. 22, 1952 in Woodward, OK, the son of James F. and Ruth E. (Campbell) Neighbors. Jim graduated high school at Woodward High where he was co-captain of the football team. He received his Bachelors degree from Weatherford, OK where he was active in Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Jim had a long career with Proctor & Gamble until retirement. Jim is survived by his mother, Ruth Neighbors of OKC; sisters, Sandy Huffman of OKC, Cheri Franklin of Enid; children, Jimmy Neighbors and wife Amy, Matt and Kelly Neighbors, all of OKC; nieces, Julie Huffman and her son, Grant Craiger of OKC, Tracy Marney and husband David, and their children Katy, Kara and Cassie of Hennessey; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James, and brother in law, Mike Franklin. Jim will always be remembered for his never ending love for his family and his unique sense of humor. A memorial service will held at 11:00am, Friday, November, 4, 2011 at Crossings Community Church in OKC.
