Max was born in Oklahoma City on October 10, 1952. He left us March 6, 2016. He was born to James Ray Maxey, Sr. and Patricia Lee Hutchison of Oklahoma City. Max graduated from SNU with a Bachelor of Science Degree and was also a member of the Masons. He was a man of many talents. Max started as a bicycle mechanic at Bucks Cycle. He worked for the family business, Maxeys Cycle, for years until he had a calling to start his own advertising agency, Media Max Promotions. After finding his passion for promoting, he soon came to own a radio station (KCLI-FM) in Clinton, Oklahoma. During his time there, he met his love, Linda. Max and Linda moved back to Oklahoma City and were always involved in classic cars, real estate, and automobile sales. He was a fixture at the auto auction and was respected by all. In his early years, Max was an accomplished flat track motorcycle racer. He traveled the US with his father and brother, racing motorcycles on the professional racing circuit, and was nationally recognized. His hobbies were classic cars, motorcycles, camping and reading. After a lifetime of hard work, his passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Max and Linda were married February 22, 1987 and enjoyed 29 years of wonderful marriage. He is survived by Linda; his mother, Patricia Maxey; sister, Carla Hambrick; and brother, Danny Maxey.
