James Woodrow "Woody" Hughes, Jr., 71, died September 9, 2014. He was born January 19, 1943 in Panama City, FL to James and Saralyn (Watts) Hughes. He retired from Nielson Ratings as a District Manager. A proud Army veteran, he was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, survivors include his wife, Constance "Elaine" Hughes; son, Stephen Hughes; stepsons, David, Howard and Kevin Winchester; sister, Roberta Griese; and 15 grandchildren. Viewing will be Thursday, 3-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, September 12, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill.
