James Klee Hawkins was born on October 5, 1945 to James and Lula Hawkins of Dill City, OK. He passed away on December 24, 2022 in Yukon, OK. Jim was a lifelong educator - working as a coach, teacher, counselor, principal and college professor - retiring after 54 years in May, 2022. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jim loved his church and was active at Quail Springs Baptist Church (QSBC) in various capacities. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marlin Hawkins. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth; their sons Grant (wife Beth, children Raney, Eli, Kate) of College Station, TX and Brad (wife Virginia, son Merrit) of Lafayette, LA. The family wishes to thank Drs. Irim Yasin, Robert Lockwood and Raul Lastimosa for their capable care of our loved one.
