James D. L. Moore, 79, slipped peacefully into Gods arms at home on May 4, 2009. He was born July 23, 1929 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas to Roy and Lottie (Weston) Moore. He graduated in 1958 from Southern Nazarene University and served the Lord faithfully as a Nazarene Minister from 1958-1982. He pastored churches in Fairfax, Nowata, Anadarko, Wagoner and Cleveland, OK. His ministry was highlighted by expanding a church building, rebuilding a church destroyed by a tornado, building a new parsonage and church, and maintaining the SWO District Campground. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Oleta and daughter, Linda Kaye Bishop and husband Robert. Visitation will be Thursday, 9am-9pm with the family receiving friends from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services to honor his life will be Friday, May 8, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
