Jacqueline Leigh
Mcalpine
Dec 23, 1955 — Sep 28, 2025
Jacqueline "Jacquie" Leigh McAlpine passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 69 with her family gathered around her. She was born on December 23, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and from the very beginning was a special gift from God to our family. Jacquie lived a life full of joy, laughter and love and she was truly our angel on earth.
Jacquie was known by her friends, family, and caregivers as happy, sweet, sassy, and sometimes demanding even though she could not speak. She had a big personality and a smile that could light up a room. Some of her favorite foods were pancakes, bacon, pizza, lasagna, enchiladas, and her favorite, Cheetos. She loved to snack on sweets too. Her joys in life included watching kids play, riding in her "Big Car," listening to Rock 'n' Roll music, and flipping through books. Jacquie even had her own horse, "Connie Baby," and in her younger years proudly participated in the Special Olympics. Her friends at Golden Age affectionately called her their "mascot," a reflection of how deeply she touched everyone around her.
Her favorite things were Santa Claus, baby dolls, McDonald's (which she called "Donald Me"), and a cold "CoCo bay" (Coke). She also loved car rides anywhere and was especially delighted when she spotted an oil rig along the way. To her family, Jacquie was much more than a daughter, sister, and aunt—she was our angel who taught us to smile, laugh, love, and remain positive no matter the situation.
Jacquie was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie McAlpine and Donna Willis; and her brothers, Louie McAlpine and her favorite, Jaime "MeMe" McAlpine.
She is survived by her older sister, Jennifer Stevenson (Sissy); nephew, Brandon Stevenson; little sister, Jonna Maroney (onna); brother-in-law, Brad Maroney (Brad); nieces, CyLeigh Maroney (namesake) and Cameron Maroney (CyLeigh); sister-in-law, Cheryl McAlpine (Shirley); and niece, Caitie McAlpine Nolop (Kitty), her husband, Fred Nolop and children, Zeppelin (Baby Z) and Jett.
Jacquie will be greatly missed by her family, friends and caregivers. We loved all of our nicknames she gave us.
In honor of our party girl, Jacquie, a Rock 'n' Roll Pizza Party will be held Thursday, October 2, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma, where family will be present to share memories and celebrate her life. A Catholic Mass will follow on Friday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics at https://www.specialolympics.org/
