Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Cary, 83, passed away June 15, 2024 in Oklahoma City. She was born February 8, 1941 in Little Rock, AR to Arthur O'Brian and Velma (Owens) Poe. She attended Oklahoma City University and married James "Jim" Henry Cary on November 24, 1961.

Jackie served as Assistant Clerk in the Oklahoma County Clerk's Office for 23 years. She was a longtime active member of Council Road Baptist Church. She and Jim have the "TA Truck Stop Ministry" where she served for many years. Jackie loved music and played both the piano and organ. She enjoyed studying the Bible and served as a Sunday School teacher for "Jackie's Jewels." She was also a longtime member of Bible Study Fellowship.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Jenny Wheeler (Michael); son, Jimmy Cary; twin brother, Jack Poe (Phyllis); grandchildren, James Hulin (Kristin), Amanda Shannon (Kenneth), Megan Salisbury (Drew), Madison Hulin, Jessica Cary and Jacob Cary; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Baylee, Jaydon, Jackson, Landon, Kealan and one on the way; as well as numerous other extended relatives and friends.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Wednesday, 9am-8pm with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at Council Road Baptist Church, 10:00am on Thursday, June 20 with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
