Jacqueline L. Brand went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2011. She was born November 2, 1917 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Agnes and Jim Wikoff. On April 6, 1938, she married Richard A. Brand. She graduated from Oklahoma City Central High School. Jacqueline was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, D. Darlene Knight, Richard A. Brand, Jr., and Steele Brand; her grandchildren, Danny Henderson, Debra Russell, Diana Dawkins, Benjamin Brand, Traci Johnson, and Steele Brand II; and 10 great-grandchildren. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard A. Brand. Jackie was a long-time church librarian and member at Village Baptist Church. She loved and greatly enjoyed her friends at the churchespecially the Prime Timers. And, she loved the Lord. She was a great encourager to her children, from playing catch in the backyard and taking them to the many practices and events, to helping build their life skills and valuesand she was always a ready keeper of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren she love and adored. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 13 in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Village Baptist Church Music Ministry.
