Selby, Jacob, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend died suddenly on Feb. 20, 2010, only to be met by and united with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the glorious gates of Heaven. Jacob was born Sept. 13, 1987 to Bart and Shelli (Miner) Selby and lived in Yukon during his life on earth. Jacob attended Yukon Public Schools, graduating from Yukon High School in 2005. He was attending UCO, majoring in Education and was also employed by the Welch Law Firm of OKC. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dale Selby and James Miner. He is survived by his parents, Bart & Shelli; brothers, Zachary & Kyler, brother, Christoper & wife Heather and their children Kody, Ashley, Samuel little sisters, Maycie grandmothers, Billye Selby & Evelyn Miner; aunts Sharon Selby, Sherri Bailey & husb. Phil; uncle, Brett Selby & wife Brenda and their children, Riley & Parker; cousins, Matt Bailey & wife Melia and Brandi Aud & husb. Mike and their children Shanlee, Tyler, Evy and numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Jacob loved all of his family greatly, the bigger the gathering, the better he liked it. He loved playing with all of the younger ones, giving many horse rides and being the human trampoline. Jacob had many passions, including music and books. He was an avid reader, no matter the title. He loved writing and performing music, being part of many music groups and performing at many venues. When performing on stage, Jacob was definitely in his element. Jacob was also part of several praise & worship bands at local churches. A celebration of Jacobs life on earth will be held Thurs., Feb. 25 at 1:00 p.m., at Christs Church of Yukon, 620 W. Vandament, Yukon, OK. A Jacob Selby Memorial Fund has been established through Radiant Life Church, P.O. Box 851941, Yukon, OK 73085. Jacobs family wishes to thank all for their love, support and giving during this time. We grieve today but will celebrate with Jacob in Heaven. His spirit will shine forever.
