Jacob L. Leaverton, 30, of Oklahoma City, died August 5, 2012. He was born October 19, 1981 in Colorado Springs, CO, the son of Ronda and Dicki Ward; father Christopher Leaverton, and godmother, Rhonda Goode. He was married to his wife of 14 years, Abigail Leaverton. Jacob was a talented artist, an avid lover of motorcycles, comic books and movies. He listened to all types of music, his favorite being blues and classic rock. Jacob was a big kid at heart; he loved playing video games with his two sons and spending time with his favorite dog, Cooper. He was a very hard worker who always strived to provide for his family. He will be greatly missed. Jacob is survived by his beloved wife, Abigail; sons, Logan, 12, and Samuel, 6; parents, Ronda and Dicki of OKC; his sisters, Lacy Ward and fianc Shaun Brown, and Paige Ward and fianc Nik Coffee of OKC. He also leaves his maternal grandfather, Ron McKinney; great grandmother, Ruby Fern Keas of OKC; his niece, Zoey Coffee, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Karen McKinney, Brenda McKinney, Mildred Wargo; grandfather, Steve Wargo; and great grandfather, Delmer Keas. Viewing will be Wednesday, noon-9pm, with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 11:00am at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
