Jackie Leroy Whitehead, 73, died January 4, 2018 in OKC. He was born March 29, 1944 in Walters, OK, the son of Paul and Irene (King) Whitehead. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam war. A retired CNC machinist, Jackie was an avid garage sale enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Joshua Grigsby, and first wife, Inda Lou Lipscomb. To that union was born Rodney Leroy Whitehead. He then married Grace Irene Markwell on September 16, 1965 in Seminole, OK. To that union, a daughter, Karen was born. Survivors include his wife, Grace; son, Rodney Whitehead and wife Connie of Stroud, OK; daughter, Karen Grigsby and husband Jerry of Piedmont, OK; sisters, Pat Melton and husband Willford of Marlow, OK, Lorene Bilbrey of Duncan, OK; brother, Paul Whitehead and wife Sandy of Marlow, OK; grandchildren, Terry Goodson and wife Tacie, Justin and Michael Savage, Hannah Grigsby, Ashley Smith and husband Nathaniel, Taylor Johnson and husband Johnnie, Billy Whitehead and fianc Elizabeth Earl, Dakota Whitehead, Jeremie Niccum and wife Kara, and Amie Schneider and husband Andrew; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Tinsley and soon-to-be Tristyn Goodson, Gavin, Corbin, Eva and Gideon Smith, Riley Etherage, soon-to-be Addison Johnson, Jacob Niccum, Cailian Snyder, Alaina and Tanner Niccum; sisters-in-law, Mildred Story and husband Charles, Sharon Bane and husband Jimmy, and Kathy Morland and husband Ron; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Wednesday, January 10, 2:00pm at Christs Legacy Church.
