Obituary

Jackie Sue Suriano of Bethany, OK was born in Beaumont, TX on November 6, 1944, to Jack C. and Willie V. Jordan. Jackie went to be with her Lord on March 4, 2025 at the age of 80 after a lengthy illness, and just shy of her 57th wedding anniversary. Jackie was preceded in death by her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, her father Jack, mother Willie, and her brother Jerry C. Jordan.

Jackie married Michael A. Suriano on March 17, 1968 and together they were blessed with a beautiful family of 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. There are also two nephews, Jerry Jordan Jr. and Jason Jordan; and their mother, Melanie Anderson of Houston TX.

Jackie is survived by her husband Michael of the home; her son, Chris Suriano and his wife Lisa of OKC; her daughter, Shawn Suriano of Stillwater; her grandchildren, Chaisey Erdman and husband Robert, Jackson Suriano, Garret Wellden, Cooper Suriano, and Carmyn Wellden; her great-granddaughter, Luna Suriano; one of her many grand-dogs, Rebel (AKA Gammie's Devil Dog).

Jackie was a hairdresser by trade, but gave up that career to be home with her children where she operated a small shop in the home for family and friends.

Jackie was a beautiful, loving, and strong-willed woman, staunch in her religion and beliefs of right and wrong. She loved her children and wasn't afraid of anything on two legs, especially when it came to defending them.

After leaving her home of 37 years in Oklahoma City, in 2005 she and Michael moved to Bethany in a wooded neighborhood where she could continue her long daily walks for which she was well known. An angel of mercy, on these walks she met and befriended numerous elderly ladies for which she would provide daily meals and whatever other assistance they might need.

Jackie loved her dog, Willow, and her cats, too numerous to list, (most of which were the result of a feral spay-and-neuter program gone wrong). She loved people, dancing, decorating, flowers and gardening, turquoise jewelry, Santa Fe, and nights by the chiminea, but mostly her family. She lived her life in high anticipation of any holiday occasion or birthday, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas when she would be able to get them all under one roof. Her passing is a devastating blow to all, and she will never, ever be forgotten. It's been said many times by many people, "There is only one Jackie Sue."

A visitation with family will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, 3pm-6pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury Ave. in Bethany, OK.
