Jack Lewis Scott passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, in Oklahoma City. He was born October 20, 1921, to Lewis and Iza Evelyn (Thompson) Scott. Jack graduated from his beloved Oklahoma A&M in 1948 with degrees in Architecture and Engineering. While there, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and was one of 7 founding members of the OSU Posse Club. Prior to graduating, he honorably served in the U.S. Army in Europe where he was nominated for two Purple Hearts. Upon graduation from OSU, he began his professional career with notable recognition, the design of the State Fair Arena, for which he received international acclaim. He was active in numerous political, religious, and civic organizations. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna; children, John Scott and wife Marsha, Dorothy Brown and husband Bruce, Charles Ogden, Cheryl Hooper, Shelley Williams and husband Steve, Carol Torres and husband DeWayne, and Jeremiah Scott and wife Cathy; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service from 9am-9pm, Monday, Feb. 7, 2011. Funeral Services will be 1pm, Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Putnam City Baptist Church with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
