Jack Bounds went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009. He was born August 26, 1929, to Royce Landon Bounds and Alice Bobbitt Bounds in Oklahoma City. He was married on June 2, 1950 to Paula Gilkerson Bounds and they shared 51 years together. Jack served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He started to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a substitute carrier and retired as a U.S. Postal Inspector in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Doris Price, his brother Royce Bounds Jr., and by his wife Paula. He is survived by his children: Steven Bounds and wife Faye, David Bounds, Kathleen Gold and husband Henry. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Michael Gold and wife Heather, Scott Gold, Matthew Bounds, Diana Daniels and husband Patrick, and Jordan Bounds and wife Kat; also 2 great grandchildren Eric and Allison Gold. Services will be Thursday, Jan. 29, 3:00 pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Wed. Jan. 28, 9 am to 9 pm. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service 3925 N.
