Dr. Jack William Balenseifen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and respected orthodontist, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on October 20, 1939, Dr. Balenseifen grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to education and service. He graduated from Watonga High School in 1958 and went on to pursue an extensive academic journey, attending the University of Oklahoma, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, UMKC College of Dentistry and Loyola University Chicago to specialize in orthodontics. His dedication to learning and excellence laid the foundation for a lifelong career devoted to caring for others.
Dr. Balenseifen and his beloved wife, Winnie, made their home in Bethany, where he practiced orthodontics for 50 years. Known for his gentle demeanor, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to his patients, he helped generations of families smile with confidence before retiring after a remarkable career.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Pearl Balenseifen, his brother, Homer Jr. and his sister, Mary Hosey.
Dr. Balenseifen is survived by his loving wife, Winnie Balenseifen of the home; his daughter, Mary Ann Balenseifen-Morgan of Yukon; his son, Dr. Dick Balenseifen and wife Patti of Oklahoma City; his son, Dr. Mark Balenseifen and wife Michelle of Yukon; and his sister, Jill Ritterspach and husband Jim of Davidson, North Carolina. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews, and their spouses and children, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Dr. Jack William Balenseifen will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his profession, strong family values, and the countless lives he touched throughout his years of service. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the community he faithfully served.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2:00 p.m. at the Bridge - Piedmont, 4050 Edmond Road NE
