Obituary

J. L. Adams graduated from this life to heaven September 6, 2008. He was born in Marshall County, Oklahoma September 5, 1926 to Ezra and Lydia Adams. J. L. met and married the love of his life Ruby Wheeler on August 17, 1944. They recently celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary. After working in the oil fields at Enid for many years, he and Ruby transferred to Oklahoma City. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, wood working, and gardening, but his greatest passion was his family. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; four daughters; Judy and Farrel Nossaman of Ringwood, OK; Donna and Dale Davis of Canon City, CO; Beverly and Tom Rupert of Newcastle, OK; Annette and Tom Farrar of OKC; son, Jeffrey and Carol Adams of Enid, OK; four grandsons; Bennie, Jamie, Michael, and Robbie; seven granddaughters, Angela, Brandi, Amy, Trisha, Melissa, Ashley, and Macy; six great-grandsons and nine great-granddaughters, including a special great-granddaughter, Cierra Dawn who spent many hours with her Mawmaw and Pawpaw. He is survived by one sister, June and Carl Curry of Ava, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. J. L. was an active member of Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene for over 35 years. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. His life will be celebrated Wednesday, September 10 at Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Bethany at 2 p.m. Internment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
