Ivan (I.V.) Reed, beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Great-Great Grandfather went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013. He was born January 31, 1920, to Irene Wood Reed and Claude Reed at Verden, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Claudine, with whom he spent 71 wonderful and eventful years; a sister Jewel Neal, of Chickasha and brother, Claude, Jr. of Snyder. He is survived by son, Ivan "Bob" Reed and spouse, Alice; daughter, Deanna Joan Pope; grandchildren, Rhonda Pollock and husband, Mike, Melanie Moore, Kelly Schuler and wife, Shannon, and grandson Kevin Schuler; step-grandchildren, Rick Pope, Ginger Winston and husband, Val, Paula Campbell and husband, David; 7 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great grandsons; 11 step-great-grandchildren, and 17 step-great-great-grandchildren. He received his high school diploma from Friend High School with a perfect attendance record. Ivan served his country as a Sgt. in the United States Army in World War II at the Battle of the Bulge during the coldest winter in history. He was a contractor building homes in Northwood Lake Estates and in Shawnee. He and his wife built the "Ark" located on McLoud Road. He will be sorely missed by all of his loved ones and friends, and we are very sad for him to leave us. At the same time, we are all rejoicing that he and his lifelong sweetheart are together once more and this time for eternity. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, conducted by pastor, Dr. Stephen Burke, of Springdale Baptist Church.
