Obituary

Irma Lorene Gambill Bottger died May 29, 2017. She was born June 21, 1925 in Tuttle, OK. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1943 where she played the trombone in the band. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1943 where she worked at Douglas Air Craft Factory during the war. She was an operator for SW Bell. She married James Albert Bottger in October 1946. They had four children. When all the children were in school, she worked as a school secretary for Oklahoma City public schools, retiring in 1986. She was a longtime member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 2 brothers, her husband, Jim and a son, Terry Alan. Survivors include daughters, Sherri Sparks and husband Harvey, Barbie Bradshaw and husband Herb; son, Ted Bottger and wife Sandy; sister, Frankie Cooley; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, June 1, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment at 1:45 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.
