Iris Lanetta Brown Glisan was born in Canadian, Texas to John and Ida Brown on May 26, 1915. She passed away on April 21, 2015. She married her childhood sweetheart, John D. Glisan, when she was 18 years old. They lived most of their married life on their ranch near Allison, Texas. When they retired, they moved to Oklahoma City and then to Yukon. Iris was a wonderful cook, a gracious hostess, an accomplished horse back rider, an excellent rifle marksman, a loving mother, and a delightful and fun grandmother. She was also a committed Christian and a faithful church member. Iris and John D. had one daughter, Linda, married to Walter Crow. She had 3 granddaughters, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with family present from 3-4pm at Mercer-Adams.
