Ina Belle Davis, age 95, a longtime resident of Bethany and recently of Yukon, OK passed away at Ranchwood Nursing Center on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Ina Belle was born on September 28, 1923 in Childress, TX to John and Lora Woodfin. Ina Belle was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; husband, Raymond; daughter, Dorothy Ballinger; and sons-in-law, Bob Ballinger and Jerry Shipley. Ina Belle is survived by daughters, Kathy Davis and Josie Shipley of Yukon. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Mike Ballinger and wife Diane of Stuart, Florida, Lynne Shipley Arthur and husband Rob of Yukon, David Ballinger and wife Donna of Edmond, Guy Shipley and wife Michelle of Bethany, and Glenn Ballinger of Edmond; thirteen great-grandchildren: Nicole Lyon and husband D.J. of Oklahoma City; Lauren Beth, Dean, Elise, Ben and Brett Ballinger of Edmond; Justin Shipley of Piedmont, Ryan Shipley and wife Taylor of Oklahoma City; Adam, Cara and Luke Ballinger of Edmond; Daniel and Andrew Ballinger of Stuart, Florida; two great-great-granddaughters, Audrey Shipley of Piedmont and Merrik Lyon of Oklahoma City; and a host of friends. Ina Belle Woodfin married Raymond O. Davis on November 9, 1940 in Muleshoe, Texas. They were married for 74 precious years. As a young mother and Christian, Ina Belle loved to read and was active in her church by assisting the librarian at West 10th St. Baptist Church. Ina Belle was instrumental in starting libraries and serving as librarian at Windsor Hills Baptist and Cherokee Hills Baptist. Ina Belle loved the Lord and was active in church until her health declined. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany. Family visitation will be Sunday, May 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
