Ila Carpenter went to be with Jesus on April 24, 2009. She was born on September 13, 1938 to Audrey and George Hamilton. She graduated from CHHS. She is survived by daughter, Brenda; son, David Bryant, Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 6 sisters; and 2 brothers. Memorial services will be at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Tuesday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m.
