Herbert Dick Taylor, 79, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. He was born September 9, 1933 in Thomas, OK to Grady and Amelia (Dick) Taylor. He worked as a clerk for many years at the BNSF Railroad. He loved and cherished his years living in the Dallas area. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all his friends and extended family at the Hidden Door in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Ronnie Gorrell. Survivors include his sisters, Lois McPherron of Wichita, KS and Mary Lee Gorrell of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephew, Sherry (Rusty) Sullivan of Noble, OK, Jana (Jeff) Adams, Edmond, OK, Cindy Showalter and Glen McPherron, Wichita, KS; great-nieces and nephews, Justin (Candace) Showalter, Emily and Amy Sullivan, Krista (Gerald) Allison, Kandi (Rick) Nagel, Evan and Jill McPherron, Zachary, Taylor and Amelia Adams and several great-great nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at Mercer-Adams Sunday, December 23, from 11am - 9 pm. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 26, at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
