Henry C. Gold, Major, USMC (Ret), beloved husband, father, son, brother and papa. Henry was born on Sept. 23, 1949, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 13, 2011. He graduated from Putnam City HS in 1967. He served in the OK Air National Guard and attended Seminole Junior College before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from OU in Dec. 1976, and entered the US Marine Corps in Feb. 1977. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in May 1977, and went on to the rank of Major before retiring in 1994, serving tours of duty in North Carolina, California, and Italy, with deployments to Okinawa and on board the USS Inchon. Since retiring and returning home to OK, he has worked for various contractors at Tinker. He was currently employed at Northrop Grumman. While in college, he married his wife of 38 years, Kathleen Bounds Gold. She survives him, along with their 2 sons, Michael Gold, and his wife, Heather, and Scott Gold, and his husband, Richard Curry. Hank was also survived by his mother, Susanna A. Gold; his aunt, Erma Northcott; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sally Gold; grandchildren, Eric and Allison Gold; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Hank loved his God, his family, the Marine Corps, and OU football. And to each he was always faithful. Semper Fidelis.
