Obituary

Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Helen Louise Hearn Hill was born August 26, 1921 in Madill, OK to Louis and Mamie Hearn. She departed this life Sunday, May 30th to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Walter, and a host of family and friends. Sue said that she knew her Daddy was waiting at the pearly gates, waving and yelling, Helen, over here. They were young and healthy again, without pain and able to walk hand in hand. They skip to a small grass covered hill with a huge shade tree to join Grandma and Grandpa Hearn and Hill, Irene and Cecil and Annelle and Wilbur. What a gathering! Helen was a graduate of Madill High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts at Bethany-Peniel College. She earned a Masters in Library Science from Central State University. Helen was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord and never wavered. She was a school teacher and librarian and said she requit when Walter retired in 1974. She was a stern teacher but was well respected and loved by her students. Helen was known to help kids that needed extra help, devoting of her time to those with learning problems or those with special circumstances. Helen was well known in Bethany for the beautiful afghans that she knitted or crocheted. You knew you were special and loved by Helen when you were given one of Helens afghans. Helen is survived by her best friend for more than 60 years, Margaret Wiman McReynolds Dawson; her son Randy and wife Judy of Washington, soon to be Oklahoma; her daughter Sue Hill Bordeaux and husband Jimmy of Bethany, OK; granddaughter Jennifer Banda of Bethany; grandson Bryan Abney and his wife Leah of Oklahoma; granddaughter Michelle Abney Dehmer and her husband Karl of Washington; granddaughter Amanda Hill of Washington; and Great-Grandchildren, Riley Dehmer, Isabella Dehmer, Teeka Smith and Brylee Abney. The family would like to thank our life long family friend, Miltonette Brasher, for her love, friendship and care of Helen. And thank you Dr. Dean Brown and his staff, and the staff of Bellevue Nursing Center - Bernard, Patrick, Kareem, Will, Kim and the countless others who loved and cared for our Mother and Grandmother. A special thanks to Heather for her support and understanding. And most importantly, our heartfelt gratitude goes to Deb who stood by our family and talked Mom right on to Heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to ROC in Mothers honor.
