Hayden was full of life, energetic, and happy to be with others. From childhood, he was curious and inquisitive. Hayden was an observer of new activities, standing back, watching, and then conquering it without a second beat. When he was young, he wanted to learn to tie his shoes before the next day of first grade. Taking a practice book home on shoe tying, Hayden practiced all night. By the next morning he had it mastered and walked in with a big smile! He developed a strong work ethic and was determined to memorize one of his favorite Bible verses that same year. Colossians 3:23; "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord!" Hayden followed this and worked for the Lord throughout his life. In the fourth grade, his parents were humbled when Hayden received the "I Am Third" award. Hayden was passionate about spending time with his family. When he was young, you could find Hayden playing with his Thor Hammer and toy swords. He followed his big sister Claire around. They played board games, played in the snow, and jammed out to music to and from school. Mom loved having her 'Little Feller' around. They loved 70's disco and Motown music. They would dance while Melissa said, "Shake that booty big boy." Dad loved his time together with Hayden, playing catch in the backyard and watching him out in nature and feeding the deer. Hayden enjoyed time with his grandparents, riding on the golf cart with Pa McAllister in Florida, eating special snack bread that Nanny McAllister made, going to Chuckie Cheese with Papa Barnes, and Braum's trips after school with Gigi Barnes and Claire for chocolate frozen yogurt. Hayden was loyal and devoted. He grew up in the church, attending Sunday School and small groups. He took the role of a Christian to heart. He was a true friend, wanting others to be treated the way Jesus would treat them. He was friendly, inclusive, and reached out to others. He enjoyed laughing and going to events. He played bass in the orchestra and learned how to twirl it after a song. He was a proud member of the student council and sold cookies after school. Hayden enjoyed traveling with the varsity basketball team to area and state playoffs, while hanging with the older players and coaches. God blessed us with Hayden for 15 amazing years here on earth! Thank you, God! He will be remembered by his smile, lively personality, and animated stories. On March 10, 2023, Hayden began his next mission, and we are here to use his 15 years on earth for God's glory and other's protection. We thank God for this opportunity.
