Obituary

Obituary Harvey "Dwayne" Power, 83, of Oklahoma City, died July 26, 2021. A graduate of Bethany High School and Spartan Aviation School, he became the owner of Power Aircraft Service. He was a Pilot for Nichols Casing Crew and the U.S. Postal Service and held many other positions as pilot and mechanic. Dwayne lived in Bethany for many years, raising his family there before moving to Oklahoma City. He married Virginia "Ginger" S. Nelson on June 5, 1964. He proudly served in the Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of the "Okie A" Model A Club for many years and a member of Tulakes Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey D. and Lala Ruth Power, 2 siblings, Jimmy Power and Bonnie Lenox, and son, Michael Carson. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ginger; daughter, Michele Boyd and husband Keith; grandson, Jett Boyd; brother, Howard Power; and daughter-in-law, Denise Johnson. He was a very loving family man and always showed it in many ways. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, July 30, 2:00pm at Tulakes Baptist Church with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. .
