Obituary

Harold Lee Wiggins, 74, from Oklahoma City, OK, went to heaven on June 5, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1952, to Roy D. Wiggins and Betty Lucille (McDonald) Wiggins in Rock Hill, South Carolina. His family moved to Oklahoma City when Harold was a Senior in high school; he graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1970. He earned an Associate degree at Christ For The Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, TX and was an ordained minister.

He married Judy Herman on April 28, 2001, in Oklahoma City, OK.

As a youth, Harold was an Eagle Scout. The skills he learned as a Scout served him well in his adult life. Harold spent most of his adult life working as an HVAC Technician for multiple contractors.

Harold loved the Lord and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner football fan. He enjoyed studying the Word, listening to music, singing, watching movies, studying and learning about a variety of topics, and planting vegetables and trees (one of his favorites was the fruit produced by the pawpaw tree; he's got his own pawpaw patch). He and his wife Judy enjoyed many motorcycle trips – each with their own bike – by themselves and with friends. He experimented with raising honey bees and lambs. His latest venture was raising quail and he enjoyed sharing the eggs (and the special scissors) with friends.

Harold was generous, kind, joyful, and didn't know a stranger. He would share a joke with almost anyone and he knew A LOT of jokes. A pastor once told him that if he could remember scripture like he remembered jokes, he'd make a whale of a preacher. When engaged in conversation, a certain word could trigger the "joke Rolodex," and he would share a joke. He would often start the "joke" with a serious composure as though he was telling a true story. Once the listener was reeled in, he'd deliver the punch line.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Danny; and grandson, Hunter Lee. He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Robert (Henri) and Jordan (Heather); daughter, Christy; two granddaughters; one grandson; and sisters, Ann and Susan. He will be greatly missed.

A Homecoming Celebration will be held at Victory Church at 4300 N. MacArthur Blvd., Warr Acres, OK on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7500 W Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK.
