Harold Gene (Jiggs) Glendinning, 80, passed away Aug. 25, 2010, at the Veterans Center in Clinton, OKla. He was born March 28, 1930, in Mutual, Okla. to Harry and Bernice (Young) Glendinning. He drove a truck and delivered freight to all 50 states. He made the statement many times that he enjoyed driving because of all the friends he made. Jiggs is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Paulene McAleney, Bob Glendinning, Neva Glendinning, and infant sons. He is survived by his wife of 60 yrs, Aileen (Anthem) Glendinning; son Gene Glendinning, Jr.; daughters Dana Glendinning and Paula McBride; sister Wilma Gordon; grandchildren Tawna Renshaw, Lorn McBride, Ryan Glendinning, and Julia Glendinning; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank the staff at Clinton Veteran Center and Western Oklahoma Hospice for Genes excellent care during his last days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Western Oklahoma Hospice, 514 Avant, Clinton, Okla. 73601. Viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 27, 6-8pm, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 28, 1pm, at the Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, Okla.
