Obituary

Hao Huu Truong, of Oklahoma City, passed away on May 26, 2009 at the age of sixty-two. He is the son of Phuoc Truong and Nam Vui. Hao grew up in Vung Tau Vietnam. He completed law school and served in the South Vietnamese Military during the Vietnam War. Following his service in the war, Hao moved to America becoming a United States citizen. He resided in Woodward, Pauls Valley and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Hao obtained a real-estate and brokers license, and started several businesses. Hao also enjoyed serving as a member of the Vietnamese Association of OKC. He is survived by his children Nhan Truong, Lan Downing, Dzung Truong, Kenny Smith, Robert Smith, and ten grandchildren; his father Phuoc Truong; his siblings Nghia Truong, Bac Truong, Lieng Shanks, Hao Walker, and 17 nieces and nephews; a special friend Tuyet Nguyen; and a large number of extended family members and close friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Nam Viu and brother Tho Truong. The following events will be held in honor of Hao Truong: a Catholic service on Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m.; a Buddhist service on Friday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m.; and the funeral service on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. All events and opportunities for visitation will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Oklahoma.
