Gwendolyn Hyde, 76, passed away April 25, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born April 9, 1948 in Rayville, LA to W.A. and Lucille Lamb. She married Dwight Hyde on September 9, 1972.

Gwen worked for SW Bell Telephone and Weokie Credit Union. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She was a very loving and selfless wife and mother who always put her family first. Gwen loved her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and brought her a tremendous amount of joy. She had been an active member of Metropolitan Bible Church for the past 10 years.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rhaelynn Hyde; sister, Maxine Rushing; and brothers, Billy Davis and W.A. Lamb. She is survived by her husband, Dwight; son, Daryl Hyde and wife Jessica; sister, Janice Jones; brother, Thomas Earl Lamb; and two grandchildren, Dane and Hannah.

Viewing will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, just prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 1 at Metropolitan Bible Church, 7201 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City.
