Gwendolyn Grove, 94, of Oklahoma City, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She was to us a faithful, loving, caring, and Godly wife, mother, and grandma. Born on November 14, 1921, in Minersville, PA, she was the second child born to Miles and Margaret Jones. She married her late husband, Jean Grove, in 1955, and spent 49 years with him, finding great joy and contentment in being a faithful wife and mother, making her home a safe, fun, and Godly haven for her family, and many others she befriended and served. She loved well, giving herself and her talents selflessly to those who needed her. She was a wonderful example of a Proverbs 31 woman to her children and grandchildren. She loved music and was a faithful member of the Cathedral Choir of Bethany 1st Nazarene Church for many years. She found so much joy in singing and playing the piano in worship of her Heavenly Father. Heaven has for sure gained a new choir member. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jean Grove, and her sister, Sally Bracey. Gwen is survived by her son, Gene Grove of Elysburg, PA; her daughter, Kris Bley and her husband Gilbert of Yukon, OK; daughter, Pam Phillips and her husband Mike of Fort Smith, AR; seven grandchildren: Josh Bley; Braden Bley and his wife Scarlett; Alisa Phommavong and her husband Santy; Michelle Tillery and her husband John; Keith Beachy; Brooke Phillips; and Mallory Huettner and her husband Oscar; and seven great-grandchildren: Hudson and Davis Phommavong; Sarah Tillery; Lillee and Brantley Bley; Jaxon and Bladen Ross. She is also survived by her brother, Miles Jones and his wife Ninita of Peoria, AZ. Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, OK, with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens. Family visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6-8pm.
