Gregory "Greg" Louis Singleterry, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, went to be with his parents in heaven on February 2, 2021 at the age of 58. He was born in Oklahoma City September 9, 1962 to Jack and Teale Singleterry. They were so excited to welcome Greg he was their little prince.
Greg grew up with a lot of neighborhood friends, playing ball, roller skating at Comet Skating Rink, and showing sheep and calves for FFA. The Singleterry family spent most weekends at their cabin at Lake Eufaula in S.E. Oklahoma, where Greg learned his love of lakes and boating. Jack also taught Greg to shoot guns and hunt. Greg learned his love of motorcycles riding around Sherwood Forest with his lake friends. In his teenage years, Greg started racing motocross, so Jack and Teale sold the cabin and bought a motorhome so the family could follow the motocross racing circuit. Gregs specialty was getting the "holeshot" (being first off the starting line). He was a talented racer and our family loved being a part of it. Greg graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1980. After graduation, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for a time. Greg then went on to start his adventure filled life. Greg loved meeting people and never met a stranger. He had an infectious spirit that could make you believe anything could happen. Greg owned a landscape and tree trimming business for over 15 years. He then settled in a sales career that took him all over the U.S. Sales was Gregs gift he could "sell ice cubes to Eskimos."
Greg was a devoted father to his pride and joy, his daughter Gabrielle Singleterry. He told everyone about his baby girl and when she joined the U.S. Navy, he was bursting with happiness.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, D.J. "Jack" Singleterry and Lucille "Teale" Moore Singleterry, and his nephew, Tyler Paul Groschick. Greg is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle Singleterry of Oklahoma City; his former wife, Lisa Quintero-Singleterry of Oklahoma City; his sisters, Diane Singleterry of Oklahoma City, and Janis Tanksley and her husband Mark Cowan of Dibble, Oklahoma, and Janis children Taylor Groschick and his wife Korey and their children Tyler and Thatcher, and Tory Haynes and husband Blake and their children Titus, Warren, and Ashton.
