Grace Elizabeth Hand was a sister, mother, daughter, cousin, niece, and much more. She died at age 43 on July 4, 2023 at home in Bethany, OK. Grace was born to Carla Hooper and Neil Hand on August 13, 1979. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carla. She is survived by her daughter, Miracle, and her sister, Jamie. Grace will be most remembered for her goofiness, hidden behind a veil of stubbornness. She had a laugh that was unmistakably hers, seemingly uncontrollable, and somehow passed genetically to her daughter. She was a fun sister/cousin/niece to grow up with. She was gullible, and incredibly easy to scare. Shenanigans followed her at timeslike the time she and her sister were at the mall. Grace was tired of walking and so leaned against some clothes racks for rest. It fell over, as did the next, and next. They werent allowed back. Some of the characteristics that made Grace fun to be around, also made life difficult at times for her. She experienced many ups and downs. In a sense, she was still trying to figure out how to do life at 43constantly worried that she couldnt. Nevertheless, she showed herself brave and determined enough to hold a job and housing for over a decade in a world she struggled to relate to. While she struggled to order other areas of her life, she did more than most could with what she had. Grace's sister was the most important relationship in her lifea relationship that is well expressed, and understood by other sisters everywhere, by the following thoughts: Shes your best friend and yet no one can make your blood boil like she can. Thats sisters for you. The bond between sisters is like no other. A sister is someone you can be yourself with, whom youre not afraid to fight withand likely often do. At the end of the day though, a sisters love is unconditional and life-long. Grace will be missed by family and friends, as we await with her the new Kingdom that will bring her back. Her viewing will be on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9am 8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK. There will be a graveside service at Bethany Cemetery at 10am on Saturday, July 8, 2023. .
