Grace C. (Fillmore) Bentley, age 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 14, 2011. She was born Sept. 24, 1918 in Palmer, Massachusetts to Harry E. and Laura B. Fillmore and grew up and graduated from high school there. Following her graduation, she moved to Springfield, MA where she became employed in a department store office; first in the cash area and soon advancing to the credit department. She married Wesley E. Bentley in 1937. Following his graduation from college, they entered the field of ministry in Illinois, Minnesota and Tennessee. She spent a total of 20 years employed in three Nazarene Universities, retiring from SNU in 1987. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Bethany, OK. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, sister Laura, brother Howard, her husband, Rev. Wesley E. Bentley, and her son, Wesley E. Bentley. Survivors include her daughter, Sarah A. Martin and husband Bob of OKC; daughter-in-law, Lois Bentley of IL; 9 grandchildren and spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Family will greet friends Sunday, 2-5pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 19, 2:00pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, OK.
