Gloria Wilson Romines went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at her nursing home in Richardson, Texas. She is now rejoicing with all her beloved friends and family members who went to be with the Lord before her, including her husband Loyd, her parents and both of her sisters. She is survived by her two brothers, Rev. Loyd Wilson and wife Frances of Yukon, and Rev. Eldean Wilson and wife Emma of Cordell, OK; 3 children, Ron Romines and wife Pamm, and Debra McCulloch, all of Richardson, TX, and Linda Newhardt of OKC; 3 grandsons, Josh McCulloch and wife Miranda, Branden Newhardt, and Ryan Newhardt and wife Maria, all of OKC and Edmond. She was born on August 31, 1927 in Galena, OK to Irene and Charles Delbert Wilson, the second child of 5. She graduated from high school on May 25, 1944 in Lefors, Texas, and 3 years later to the day, married the love of her life, Loyd Romines in Pampa, Texas. They were married for 50 years before he preceded her in death in 1997. She was always a career woman, working first as a legal secretary for 10 years, then in the insurance field for about 8 years. She was a bank officer for 10 years, and was then involved in sales and, finally, owned her own jewelry company for many years until she retired. She and Loyd lived in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas and California, but home base was always Bethany, OK since 1963. Gloria became a Christian at a very early age, and never faltered from that path. Her mother was a Pentecostal Holiness minister from the time Gloria was 6 years old, so she was never far from a church service. She served the Lord as a Sunday school teacher and song leader in the past, and was a member of Cornerstone Church, which is now Christ's Legacy since 1995. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with family present from 3-5pm at Mercer-Adams. Memorial service will be Monday, November 16, 11:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK.
