Glora Gene English Uzzle Venters passed away on October 8, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She was born to John Reese and May Rosabelle Sanders English on August 17, 1927 in Sweetwater, TX. She graduated from High School in Stephenville, TX and attended two years at John Tarleton College and retired from Sears Credit Central in 1989. Glora was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond Uzzle, Jr., whom she married in 1947. She later married Charles Venters, Sr. in 1984. He also preceded her in death as well as a son, Kevin Uzzle, and a stepson, Charles Venters, Jr. Glora was a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church since 1996. Her hobbies were crafts, gardening and oil painting. Glora is survived by daughters, Ramona Elrod and husband, Joe, of Canyon Lake, TX, Lucretia Morris of Edmond, OK; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Uzzle; grandchildren, Brandon Morris, Jason Elrod and wife, Dana, Matthew Uzzle, Christopher Uzzle and Katy Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Brennan Elrod, Olivia Elrod, Dillon Elrod and Maddison Lancaster; one sister, Dovie Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, October 12 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
