Jan. 17, 1936 Jan. 1, 2016 BETHANY, OK. On Fri., Jan. 1, 2016, at the age of 79, Glenn Edwin VanZant left this earthly life & was called home to eternal paradise to be with his Heavenly Father. The 3rd of 4 children, Glenn was born to Enoch & Sabra VanZant of Dayton, OH. While attending Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois, Glenn met & married the sweetheart of his life, Wilda "Billie" Green. Glenn & Billie were faithfully devoted to each other from the very beginning & were blessed with 59 years of marital bliss. Together, Glenn & Billie had three children, Cindy, Don & John Mark. Glenn was an incredibly devoted husband, father & grandfather and loved God deeply more than anything. He also loved music, sports & completing crossword puzzles. Glenn was a full-time youth pastor for 25 years in three churches, in Sikeston & St. Louis, MO as well as Bethany, OK. As a result of his Christ-like love & devotion, there are people all over the world today ministering & sharing the love of God. Following 2 decades in youth ministry, Glenn was a real estate broker & later served as the President & CEO of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Oklahoma. For several years, Glenn also owned & operated D&G Baseball Cards in Bethany with son Don. In retirement, he & his wife Billie helped found & manage The ROC Resale Shop. Glenn was preceded in death by his son, John Mark, parents, Enoch & Sabra VanZant, brother, Charles VanZant & sister, Miriam Hall. Glenn has now joined the "Great Cloud of Witnesses" & is cheering on those he has left behind: His precious wife, Wilda "Billie" VanZant, daughter, Cindy Dillon & husband Dennis and son, Don & wife Teresa Trinket" VanZant; four grandkids who lovingly referred to him as "Gramps"; Matt & Tim (sons of Cindy & Dennis Dillon), and Stephen & Brady (sons of Don & Trinket VanZant); sister, Carolyn Ferguson & a host of others impacted by the Godly life he lived.
