Gladys Wilson left her earthly home, with her family by her side, on November 6, 2009, and entered into Gods wonderful garden. It is fitting that Gladys should go to the beautiful garden since her work, for 29 years, was working with flowers, and now she is the most beautiful flower in His garden.
Gladys Wilson was born December 6, 1930 in Binger, Oklahoma to W.S. Ryburn and Edna Ryburn Tripp. She married Don E. Wilson on October 15, 1948. They made their home in Hinton for many years and then moved to Oklahoma City in the early 1950s. Don preceded Gladys in death and was there to greet her when she arrived in Heaven.
She was a member of the Young Democrats, and believed that if you werent a Democrat that you were just wrong! She was active in the Florist Business Association and owned Gladys Wilson Flowers for many years. Her little shop on the corner of N.W. 39th and Pennsylvania was a landmark in its own way, and everything she made was made to perfection. Gladys always loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gladys is survived by her children: Donna McFeely and husband Andy, Bob Wilson and wife LuAnn, and Ronnie Wilson. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Glenn and Douglas and is survived by siblings Leroy (Pat), Tony (Juanita), Mary, Shirley (Jim), and Waneta. She also leaves her legacy of 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
