Gladys Viola Newsom Waldroop, 91, passed away August 28, 2011. She was born July 11, 1920 in Tipton, OK to Robert and Susie Viola (Allen) Newsom. She was the beloved mother of Brenda Green and husband Bruce, Jeanne White and husband Reggie, and Charlotte Gage and husband Richard. She was a loving grandmother to 8: Cynthia, William, Nancy, Eric, Brooke, Vince, Bruce and Lucas, great-grandmother to 15: Alison, Denise, Marston, Sydney, Erica, Emma, Charles, Lily, Ella, Reid, Robby, Rylea, Jaron, Jax and Mason, great-great-grandmother to 3, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William B. Waldroop, who died in 1990. Services will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Wednesday, August 31, 10:00am with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
