Gladys Pearl (Jamison) Murrow, 91, was born in a farmhouse in Woods County, Oklahoma on November 5, 1929 to Elmer and Sadie (Stewart) Jamison. After having lived a long and full life, she met her Savior on March 20, 2021. Gladys attended school in Carmen, OK and graduated from Carmen High School in 1947. She married Robert Lee Murrow on May 5 of the same year. They were happily married for 69 years, serving alongside each other in ministry. Together they saw many souls won to the Kingdom.
Gladys was a faithful housewife to Robert and a nurturing mother to sons Terry and Ronald, along with having a career with General Electric Co. and a 17-year career with Collins & Arkman. Christ was the center of their home and they raised their boys to love and serve Jesus. They were members of Yukon Church of the Nazarene.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Sadie Jamison; son, Ronald Murrow; sister, Wilma Heasley; brothers, Russell Jamison and Floyd Jamison; stepsister, Mary Murrow; daughter-in-law, Brenda Murrow and granddaughter, Lori Smith.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Carol) Murrow of Yukon, OK; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; stepsister, June Shouse; sister-in-law, Allez Jamison and a host of other cherished family members. She will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be Tuesday, March 23, 9am-8pm at Mercer-Adams with family present from 5-8pm. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Dacoma, OK.
