Gerald Wayne Woods, 86, was born August 5, 1937 and entered Heaven on November 1, 2023.

Gerald served the Lord as pastor, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend of all. He loved being a pastor and he was a lover of all people, especially the people that he pastored which was all the country.

Gerald was a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene College 1962 and he took his first pastorate in May of 1962. Gerald was a full-time pastor in the Nazarene church for 45 years.

He was known for his motto: Expect a Miracle ~ and he bled Alabama crimson red. "Roll Tide!!"

He was married to the love of his life, Paulette Barnes Woods for 65 years.

He is survived by wife, Paulette Barnes Woods; sons, Jerry Woods and wife Joy Woods and Jonathan Woods and wife Lisa Woods; sisters, Patty Woods Bunch and husband Ron Bunch and Claire Jeanette Barnes Martin and husband John Westmeyer; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Woods; mother, Nettie Woods; brother, Charles Woods; and twin brothers, Glennis Woods and Glenn Woods.

Celebration of Gerald's life will be at Calvary Nazarene Church, Bethany Oklahoma on November 11, 2023 at 11:00am.

A reception will be held at 10:00am prior to the celebration.

Rev. Jim Hill will officiate, Scripture by Dr. John Williamson, and Music by Darwin Speicher.
